Complacency

Complacency

A Poem by KSinPoint
"

When the wellbeing of your mind, body and soul is brought into question.. will you be able to look yourself in the eyes..?

"

That’s when you decide that this life

Is full of pitiful complacency

And when you open your sickening eyes

To admit who you are is to win half the battle

Drinking from the glass that’s half drunk

Dragging your nails through dug trenches

Tasting the air from another's mouth

Then glancing at someone's sweet eyes

Will you wish for something you did not want?

And when received, become the spiteful receiver

Will your kiss be brutally stolen, yet willfully given?

And when given, discover what you really wish for

That’s when you’ll decide that life

Is full of beautiful complacency

And when you open your enlightened eyes

To admit what you were was to win half the battle
