Christmas WishA Poem by Alex P.Kind of catty... Merry Christmas! It was but one year ago, When you got down on one knee With the love in your eyes, Shining like the lights on the Christmas tree
Now a year later, And my left hand is bare, I sit here wondering And each winking Christmas light Leaves in my heart a little tear
I thought it’d be forever, I thought you would be true, But I guess a year’s a long time, And I overestimated you
So now I sit at home, With lights and chocolates all around, But my heart is a little lightened, With all the happiness that I have found
Music’s crooning in my ear, And there are decorations as far as I can see I’m determined, you know, You won’t ruin this season for me
So let us raise our glasses, Feast on turkey, stuffing and more, As I replace last year’s memories, And purge you from my core
Now the festivities are underway, Set off without a hitch, I’ve just one last thing to say to you: Merry Christmas, you son of a b***h =) © 2011 Alex P.Author's Note
