You look at us with scornful eyes,

Yes it is mind over matter, one doesn't mind because others don't matter. The last stanza was nice and sharp like a knife, I bet they felt that. We can only live one day at a time, so we should live those days for what they are and not live them in fear of the future or what might happen to us. Nice write.
