I Miss You

I poem I wrote to express the longing I feel

I miss you.

I miss you in the way that makes my heart ache with longing,

Even when we’ve only just parted

I miss you in the way that makes my day less lustrous,

Because you are the light of my life

I miss you in the way that causes simple things to lose meaning,

For I cannot do them with you

I miss you in the way that makes me lie sleepless those long cold nights,

Wishing for your warmth next to me

I wish you in the way that causes me to stare across time and space,

Hoping to catch a glimpse of you

I miss you in the way that prays everyday,

That you can be in my arms again

I miss you.

Ah! Such a beautifully sad piece of writing it is....
I loved it a lot as it touched the very core of my heart!
Though I loved the entire poem but this line really stands out for me -

"I miss you in the way that causes simple things to lose meaning," - really loved this one as it is so simple yet so deep and I guess most of can somehow relate ourselves with it...


"Hoping to catch a glimpse of you
I miss you in the way that prays everyday,
That you can be in my arms again
I miss you."


Poem ended so beautifully well with these lines , really such a brilliant piece of writing it is!

really can feel the emotion in this poem .. i miss you , the repetition of that pharse adds so much .. very nice .. such sadness and longing ..
