LovedrugA Poem by Paul Allen KillebrewA lyrical adaptation of the incredible pull one feels when they're in love. When I look into her eyes I see She is wise to the ways of the world She can't be bound like the wind Won't be held down like the wind
She comes by the light of my lucid dreams And Something takes control of me I wanna stay cool, but I come unwound I'm outta my mind when she comes around
I try to kick her but I know I can't Because she is in my blood I see those eyes and I start to fly She makes me live when I wanna die
But when I put her in my arms again I know It's gonna burn She's gettin' me high once again I'm lost and found in her skin
I close my eyes and my world starts shakin' Can't do it on my own and my heart starts breakin' It's just another story that's as old as time Ain't got no reason, ain't got no rhyme I'm never gonna lose and I'm never gonna win I try to get out, she pulls me back in She makes me feel like a saint when I know it's a sin Her love is a drug I just shouldn't take © 2013 Paul Allen KillebrewAuthor's Note
