everything and nothing

everything and nothing

A Poem by SPINNING ON that dizzy edge

everything and nothing

the space that's in between

where most of us live

on faith and sight unseen.

everything and nothing

wanting more and getting less

giving up too soon

life builds a stressful test.

everything and nothing

geared in too small a frame

giant hoops, twisted loops

that you can't even name.

everything and nothing

always wanting more

never seeing all there was

closed and nailed the door.

maybe never...

maybe again...

everything and nothing
the space that's in between
where most of us live
on faith and sight unseen.

that first verse alone says it all... some real philosophical artwork to ponder... there is a fine line between everything and nothing depending on how you see life and appreciate the important things like family and love.

short and bittersweet... I really enjoyed the first stanza especially.. you did pack a little punch at the end.. overall well done!.. everything and nothing.... there are those that live one extreme to the other, and those that are happy to stay in-between... question is, how do we get that darn nail out.. open a window or something.. wheew..

you're welcome... it was my pleasure.. and heck yea, don't I know it.. :)
Everything and nothing....that explains the unexplainable. We not only live there, we invite others in.

Thank you for your spot on review.
there is a giant space between everything and nothing...and usually we accept nothing, want everything and are not happy with anything we actually have.

and that is a shame...
this poem is a good reminder that we might want to "want we have rather than needing what we want"--

nicely done...

I like that

never seeing all the good there is
closed and nailed the door

like that even more... Yes open your eyes, take a look, even when things are bad bad bad the spaces inbetween can be good good good. You are so sensitive.
