Hail to Music Baby

Hail to Music Baby

A Poem by SPINNING ON that dizzy edge
"

On Grey's Anatomy, Kristina was gettin her dance on extremely well & told typically whiny Meredith she did not want to listen to her whine - Meredith needed to - "Dance It Off"... love the concept!

"

There's music playing in my soul

There's a backbeat in my head

Moves and twists and makes me whole

Without it, I'd be dead.

Rhythms pulse like my heartbeat

Sends me to a place so right

Can't sit still - got to move my feet

Bass rocks the mood so tight

Eyes close to grab the drumline

Hips moving on their own

Singer's smokey words so fine

They're making love's loss known

Dance it off and dance it good

There's smiles with every move

Feeling like you know you should

You're rockin' in the groove

Kath, this poem dances it off. :-D

"Without it, I'd be dead" I couldn't agree more with this line. For a long time I always felt if I had to lose my sight or my hearing, I would chose hearing. I'm not so sure anymore. The eyes deceive in ways the ears seldom do. I like to think the ears are more honest. ;-)

Nice! "Bass rocks the mood so tight... Singer's smokey words so fine..." Oh, this is definitely y-o-u. There is a real freedom in the movement of this piece... it is very fluid. I love it!... looking at past reviews / timestamps... for some reason, I don't remember this one. Thanks for reposting it :)

Now that's a way to beat the blues add a little rhythm (I love that six letter word) and shake baby shake

Awesome write! The magic of music on us feels great, makes us feel on a new level and can make us spring into spontaneous dance. :)

Yes yes dance on, music to celebrate life and music to heal us. Certain times of of our lives it seems like the words to every song has been written especially for us. This poem flows really well, very nice.

Music...it surrounds our lives and bathes us in serenity or nostalgia. It brings us passion, assuages the pain. Kath, this is a great write. I can identify with it so easily. Lydia
