Fingertips so gentle up my arm
a touch so sweet - light sugar
With eyes closed
I wonder if it is real
or just the wish of all
those nights alone
gliding across my forgotten skin
I wonder how a hand so big
can be so gentle
as you tucked tussled hair
behind my ear
Your thumb grazed
my chin to tip it up
to look into your eyes -
Yours into mine...
A kiss, a first kiss now
with the pulse of you
or me
in my ears
We stand so close
there is no room
for thoughts of
stopping
I don't want to stop
this first melting chocolate
kiss
Lips warm and soft,
parting, gentle,
the tip of your tongue...ahh
firm and moving
oh so slowly
towards my neck...
my earlobe...
Another reviewer already mentioned the line "melting chocolate kisses", so won't...but there is no point in attempting to determine a favorite line, any more than there is any reason to seperate that perfect kiss into it's constituent moments. The whole, whether it be poem or kiss, is vastly superior to the sum of it's parts! i usually am not a huge fan of blank verse, but you swept me right into this delightful, moist arena without ary a qualm!
I'll tell ya, like a fleeting glance, a single rose, or that gentle touch, the first kiss is always the best thing in the world. The possible melding, of two destinies in one magic moment of eternity. Okay, maybe I'm getting a little carried away for some, but maybe not, for all.
(Fanning myself) What heat! Sometimes people forget how earthshaking a kiss is-especially a first kiss! Your description was a scorcher and it makes me lose my eyes and think back to some of the (better) kisses I've had ;) Go head, girl with your bad self!
Some of my work is very personal and some is flight taking fancy... a writer's prerogative... :)
Read something of mine and I will read something of yours - very nice and simple and what a way.. more..
