You're gonna love me.A Poem by Michael Leon Wilson
You're gonna love me
I can say it confidently Mr growth is accumulating daily Honestly, You can hear it when I sing, I've never felt so tall Even though all the kids always looked up at me, for the first time I feel all eyes are looking up to me They love me, Even the adults smile happily At my joy As I go by singing merrily Jealousy Is felt regularly I can see it when they look at me My prosperity secure And I'm happy, people wonder what the hell is so right , why I'm so happy. I finally learned how to love me Not selfishly, but productively, My body is improving constantly I've figured out the path to my wildest dreams monetarily My future for the first time since the military Doesnt scare me, The drugs that used to afflict me no longer appeal to me, I wouldn't change this feeling for anything. I'm proud of me, Rising early and greeting the rising sun expectantly, Waking my son while sipping coffee Gormet breakfast daily Home workouts to get my endorphins flowing freely Waking up surrounded by beautiful scenery For the first time I'm confident life is good for me Confident I am who I want to be Confident I'm good for me Honestly confident I'm good for you Knowing I am capable of making our dreams come true, Anxiety slipping away as determination is taking over me, I found the trick to waiting patiently wasn't watching the clock ticking past me, Yet racing the calendar to see how amazing I can make me. Intellectual thoughts surround me My essence is bright and filled with positivity, people smile and wave when they see me. So i say with an almost straight face, A confident grin, in place you're gonna love me. © 2020 Michael Leon Wilson |
