Blunt Encouragement

Blunt Encouragement

A Poem by Michael Leon Wilson

In a world of jealous envy,
Strange, estranged emotions afflict me,
A tug of war, pay attention to me
Please don't go stay here with me,
Dejected wreck, you lie in misery
Afraid to admit you are wrong because your losing
So pardon me for intruding
Who are you to do this to me,
Like I havnt changed , like I am not worthy
My sun your rage , it begins to burn me,
The light that guides becoming blinding,
I feel so trapt your love is binding,
It kills me so to see you suffer,
Several years I called you lover,
To my son you're still a mother
But yours hidden demons became uncovered
And you cant stand to see me smile over another, anyone other, than you.
I swore I thought you wanted this too,
Shes not her and you know damn well,
Why turn this paradise into a living hell,
She loves you too she told you so,
You doubt everything that smiles around you because you wallow in yourself,
You think they are out to get you and put you on a shelf, news to you I cant save you until you help yourself.
My dedication turns to suffocation,
Your warm embrace can cause abrasions,
You argue every piece of advice you ask for, I'm growing thin with all my patience
You expect the world to bend for you but are not willing to change it.
I got news for you no ones perfect,
And your not the only one that's hurtin,
So stop saying you left me out, because your screaming at me inside our house.
The door is shut we are both inside it,
Tell me love why you feel uninvited?
I care for you and do not hide it,
I hate to see you this way it leaves me writhing,
Watching you wither watch you dying,
Get up, get excited,
Have a good day it's easy if you try it.
Pessimism runs rampant in your mind just like a riot,
I'm not all you got left and you're not saving private Ryan
The windows are open, theres nothing hiding, stand up and be yourself see inside it,
Knock upon the door and maybe you'll get invited,
Emotions are contagious please stop crying,
Flap your wings and you'll start flying,
Your not broken, that's just your mindset,
Everything could be perfect, if you release the burden place upon you by past persons that weren't worth it,
Accept youbcould be wrong and expose yourself to fate other wise history will repeat and it will always stay the same,
And you dont want the guilt of having no one else to blame,
Dont be insane,
If you want to be loved then let yourself love again,
I know I've hurt you, but I've changed, you'll have to trust me, I cant explain, but I know you know I can see it on your face,
I'm willing to help you walk as long a you are willing to set a pace instead of staying in place, it's not a race, you dont always need to be in first place, we find victory together or the failure will sever, why win once alone when you can win forever?
If you love me, learn to love yourself, you are not a book, you exist not upon a shelf,
Find your peace, find your wealth, find your health, find yourself, ask for help, I'm here for you cant you tell?
Open your door get out of your cell
Get off the floor, enjoy the smell,
Of life outside a closet in hell
That bed will be your coffin,
Let go of sadness, its toxic,
Dont place blame on anyone when its life that caused it.
And in all fairness life will always give you atleast to options,
Get over it
Or succumb to it,
Lifes a b***h
So let's fight this s**t,
We turned a rut into a ditch
But still managed to climb out of it,
Let's build a bridge and cross the s**t,
That past is now beneath us.
Get over it.

I'm sick with frantic rhymes that can be dark, morbid , scary sensual or just plain strange. What makes me different is I write about anything, with no filter. more..
