Life without youA Poem by Michael Leon WilsonA poem about a very special someone in my life, that I don't know the existence of
What is life,
Life is but the breaths counted between birth and death The platonic rise and fall off a chest For without life there could be no death At night I set the table for me and you I don't eat, I haven't even met you So I just drink for two, I drink away thoughts, memories never begotten, hopes , ambitions , observe the hell I live in This is life For me, no reprive, no release Just deceit , I promise myself, someone will fill the other seat But I fear her and I will never meet So I sit and drink , and I dream I hope to feel a love so real, I fall over and over like a basket in a ferris wheel But I feel Alone, Most in common with my phone Dead No charger , no energy I swear who ever you are your my electricity What is life but breaths counted Life is chaos no doubt about it. But this life is nothing Without her next to me I am the sun, she will be the world next to me Without her Im just a star Solitary, forgotten from afar Some day I will tell you You are my world And you will know that you are Because you will know that I'm your star, I'll rise for you, Burn bright for you Enlighten you Turn the dark into light for you Late at night I will fall for you Who ever you are , Just know I'll give my life for you For what is life, Without a reason to guide you And what the fear of death with no one beside you So I swear to love you Because life is just a breath without you © 2017 Michael Leon Wilson |
