SOLITARY EXPOSÉ OVER A GRAND PIANO

SOLITARY EXPOSÉ OVER A GRAND PIANO

A Poem by KNIKOLAS

I have these feelings i’ve been hiding,

I thought I knew, but my mind is blindsiding.

I want to shout to the rooftops, but it’s not right.

I live everyday stuck in the night.

I’ll keep it inside, I won’t tell.

I’ll keep living in this personal hell.

I’d destroy everyone’s trust after all these years,

Missing a chance to be with you enraptured by my fears.

Shackled by a label,

The bright star of an Aesop Fable.

It’s minor, but its major.

It’s bass, but its treble.

Someday I must face the sharp resonant chord,

As I, in solitary perplexity, as you, like a dove soared.

This is beautiful. It flowed like water. This is just plain wonderful. Fantastic - what have you.
