While You Are On Your Way

While You Are On Your Way

A Poem by Kehinde Margret Makinde
"

This is a contemplation of love

"

Darling milky night calls
This Sweetness of mine will do more than just good
I heard you beseeching heaven for me under your hood.

Save me heaven
Would I want to fall out of philophobia?
Stars sing ballads of your prayer.

The moon snubs my coy skepticisms
Filled to the beak are trickles of their opera
Oh, darling, darling Orb of my bosom whispers otherwise too.

The sorcery of your vibrational fruity nourishment
Persuades me to the festivity
Where the matchmaker’s scroll is unsealed and divulged.

I am compelled to see who you are now and will be to me
Yet you beseech with enduring xerophagy
Raining perpendicular fire waves spurt through me.

Darling My heart knocks in tremendous anticipation
Darling would you be different from those who said
“Life ain't for you, shouldn't have come”?
