Love's Desire

She looked up from her work to find him staring at her with an expression she had never seen on his face before. It was a look of hunger mixed with a strange hint of vulnerability. There was something about his look that instantly made her heart ache. The entire presence of his expression was defined by the emotions that lay in his eyes. His large brown eyes held so much emotion that she found it difficult to interpret. They had a look of pleading and it made her want to run over to him and take him in her arms, embrace him and hold him close to her.

     Ever fiber of her being wanted to touch and caress him and she trembled beneath the pressure of holding back. She turned her head and took a deep sigh and when she had the courage too look back he was already taking her into his arms and sliding his body up next to hers. The warmth radiating from him melted away all her reserve and she wrapped her arms around the back of his head and neck. Laying her head on his shoulder they stood there simply embracing one another.

     To feel so close to him was ecstasy and she could lay there in his embrace for all eternity. There was something that felt so right and she was terrified that he would end it too soon. Lifting her head to look into his eyes she was reassured when she stared into his large brown eyes and found tenderness and desire behind them. She knew that he wanted her, not just her body but her, everything about her, her entire being.

     She knew that she would never belong to another. He was her completion and she would never be able to return, even if they came to drag her back.
