Celeste and the Magic Crayon'sA Story by K.M. LuceroThere was one a young girl named Celeste that enjoyed coloring. She loved it so much that it caused her to miss out on fun with other children. She would color lots of coloring books and even her own drawings. Her favorite were of horses and fairies. One day on her way home from school she tripped over a metal box that was left out on the sidewalk. When she tripped the box tipped over and the stuff inside fell out. To Celeste’s surprise there were pretty crayons. Each crayon was wrapped in a beautiful purple paper with sparkles all around it. Celeste loved the crayons so much and knew that they were left there for her because her favorite color was purple! She put the crayons back into the box and carried it home with her. That night she took the crayons out and thought hard about what she wanted to color. She decided on drawing her fairy. Taking the green out she drew a little girl with wings. She drew a pretty little rainbow dress and purple shoes on her fairy. She named the fairy Dash because she loved to dash around peoples head and laugh. Celeste looked at her pretty fairy and wished that she was alive so they could go out and play all day. Celeste thought about all the great things she could do with Dash. They could dance under the trees. They could fly together. They could ride her scooter together. They could play the guitar together. Celeste really wished that Dash was real. It was time for bed so she placed her drawing of Dash beside her bed and went to sleep dreaming about their adventures together. The next morning Celeste woke up and picked up her drawing. She was surprised to find that the only thing on the page was Dash’s name. The fairy was no where to be found on the page. To be continued . . . . © 2014 K.M. LuceroAuthor's Note
