Tides

Tides

A Poem by Karen Zimmer

I know

That time turns beauty

More lonely and empty

But you know me too well

So by now

I’m a valley

And you are still a volcano

I remember your destruction

Like I’ve lived it before

And you understand my silence

Like it laid glaciers

Over your boiling sea shores

I like this. Its like you are interpreting tides with love or like a wave rushing ones life. I like the scenery in this is quite calming. Its says I am the valley and a valley to me is peaceful and beautiful and then the volcano just interrupts everything with its lava. I like this.
