Static

Static

A Poem by Karen Zimmer

The most brilliant part

About this whole thing

Is how you speak fireworks

In the most foreign symmetry

With everything

That should be

Human

And I want your heartbeat

To hear me

When all of my clatter

Brings winter to your heights

And the snowfall sings

The ghosts to sleep

By the sounds of our bodies

Desiring to agree

Our fire

Is quiet

But its energy is more beautiful

Than we could ever be

The poem is very good. I like your style of poetry. You give enough description to create visions and thoughts.
"And I want your heartbeat
To hear me

Brings winter to your heights"
I liked the tone and the feel of acceptance and happiness in the words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
