The Momentum of these Moments

The Momentum of these Moments

A Poem by KnightsEye

The moments before it's perfect, the moments before we lock eyes.
It's so simple, so easy.
You're not breathing, I'm not breathing.

And we breath,
And we look,
And we see.
Beauty, madness, sin.

The smoke on your lips leaks onto the side walk,
The smoke on my tongue lingers like dew,
And it's warm and it's soft. It reminds me of you.
Every pain melts like snow.
We're here and we're not, but I feel us.
I die in those moments, but I feel us.

Beauty, madness, sin.
Beauty, madness, sin.
Beauty, madness, sin until I'm nothing.

There's smoke on the sidewalk, there's smoke in my mind, there's smoke and it ruins me.
It ruins me.
You ruin me.
But I love it too much to let go.

I like the imagery of the smoke and how it seeps into every part of you so quickly and prevents you from breathing-especially effective after you have just shown the significance of breathing together and I saw the melding then into one beautiful being which then becomes poisonous and inescapable. Well done.

I enjoyed this poem.
"Beauty, madness, sin.
Beauty, madness, sin.
Beauty, madness, sin until I'm nothing."

The above lines. Wonderful and demanding. I liked them. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

I find beauty in ruin, a desperate truth that cannot be ignored. The most profound feelings are those discovered on the very edges of life, in the ashes of thought and experience.
Good thoughts, my friend, and well written.
