Nights Like ThisA Poem by Kken
The faint familiarity of nostalgia
Begins to set in once again. What happened to everything we could have been? It was our own definition of love Never a judgement made Our faces always in the breeze As the streetlights passed us by We were the never ending story. We were invincible. Each of us had our own history But together we weren't labeled As just another sad story Together we were a novel A novel of each adventure we took But now this is all past tense, Of course The good things will always find an end A brutal, heartbreaking goodbye. And even now After so much time I can still feel the rush of being With my constellation Of people I love © 2014 Kken |
