The Boy With the Crooked Smile

The Boy With the Crooked Smile

A Poem by Kken
"

to whom I hope to see in my future but with low expectations of doing so

"
You came to my house
partially drunk,
Because you didn't know what kind of party it was.
The first time we went out together,
just you and me,
We went to Taco Bell
We didn't need expensive food,
Just each other's voices
To me, it was a "date"
But to you I will never know
You told me about your life and your secrets
So I trusted you enough to tell you mine
You said I'd see you again
But I'm stuck in school and
You're experiencing life
I will continue to wait until the day you come back
But even then,
I have very slim chances of
seeing your crooked smile and tired eyes again

I just really kind of of liked how you included the little things in this like Taco Bell, and how you're stuck in school, and I think that alot of poeple wil like this because they can relate to it. I mean, you can write about a candlelit dinner all day, but who will be able to look back into their past and feel something? Anyway, good job.
