A Painful Truth

A Painful Truth

A Poem by KLGreen

Be it a refugee in a strangers land
or an addled brain, sense be damned.
Stumbling feet find stumbling blocks.
Storm rattled ships find no docks.
The powerful snicker.
The comfortable sneer.
The righteous take no heed.
Because the price of this life
is no help comes to those most in need.
