A conversation with the reaper Father Time

A conversation with the reaper Father Time

A Poem by KLGreen

With shaky hands
and watery eyes
she looked at Father Time:

"Will you walk me
to the edge
beyond the last ridge

that marks the
border of your lands?
Ho! Don't let go my hand!"

"I will take you to the ridge
past the setting sun.
But after that my job is done. "

"Must I walk
to death alone?
For I am weary to the bone. "

"I know my dear
but trust me now.
For every why I have a how. "

And just like that,
in a flash,
she took a dive and made a splash.

And he let her float
through memories
of a deadly sea.
