Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead

A Poem by KLGreen
"

A pantoum

"
Mother rides a broomstick
every day around the house
A witch sweeping bits and pieces
Debris that's scattered everywhere

Every day around the house
Mother scurries after Father
Gathering debris that's fallen everywhere
In the form of newspaper clippings

Mother scurries after father
Making his plate for dinner
In the form of newspaper clippings
Father the anchor recites the news scroll

Making his plate for dinner
Because no one scurries about
Father the anchor recites the news scroll
But no one is there to listen
