I wonder what dying feels like

I wonder what dying feels like

A Poem by KLGreen

I wonder what dying feels like.
Is it a slowly letting go,
or a desperately hanging on?
Is it universal like taking your
first breath after being born?
Or is it different for all?
I want to know what dying feels like.
Because how can you value life
if you don't know what your exit is like?
What will be
the last thing that crosses my mind?
Joy?
Regret?
Eternity?
Will I find a white light or nothingness.
I wonder what dying feels like.

Perhaps it is like falling asleep.
We never remember the exact moment we fall asleep and are not sure how long we have slept, but we remember the moment we wake up. Perhaps we fade out in this life and suddenly wake up in the next life.

Collaborators?
Don't they always find themselves in trouble after a war?
