A Lost Thought~

Sometimes what your looking for just isn't there.

A Lost thought~

I think, therefore I have thought.

Or is it I thought therefore I think?

What is a thought? Good Lord, I have thought a lot in the years that passed.

But how do you choose just one?

 A lost thought though, one that has gone astray and threatens not to be.  

I search my mind much deeper to find the likes of thee.

Oh no, you would not be just lying there on top.

I’m going to have to ponder and probe and dig down deep to find something really great.

I’m going to wrestle imagination and fight with my pride.

I’ll look in the darkest of secret shadows for things lurking about.

Then line up my emotions in order to give out a shout.

I’m going to search through history and memories galore.

Um…, what was I looking for???

The elusive and the otherwise just plain "lost"...
Poetry can be a lot like that, too. The thought isn't there when you consciously seek it out, but you might catch a glimpse out the corner of your eye when you're not looking for it.
