Falling into love

People say falling in love is painful
Oh how I agree it is
We don't always get to decide who to fall in love with
But when we do fall in love its a bitter sweet moment
Hearts are torn while our emotions run wild
Like bulls looking for the color red or to escape
Hearts beat wild as the person stares at us
Breath hitches as he leans in close
Whispering sweet nonsense making our head spin
His piercing eyes look through us like windows to our souls
We tell ourselves we aren't afraid of these new emotions but really we are.
People stop and stare waiting for us to miss up with this new love
Our eyes close wondering if this is just a dream or reality
Afraid of opening our eyes we cling to what is in front of us hoping its real and nit just air
Finally realizing its real we let out a breath we didn't know we were holding
Our heads start making up scenes about the future with him
Not even thinking if we were going to last with him
Dreamy smiles play across our faces as we think about him
