Once MoreA Poem by HopeHow you look like you could devour me in the most delicious way, and how I would let you
What would it be like to kiss familiar lips?
Would it feel like home? Safe, welcoming, warm, loving Or would it retain the initial thrill of Breathless heat My chest drumming to a wild beat A smooth caress Wanting to undress And fireworks Or something entirely new? Stepping out from under the cloud That's clung to my brow Something akin to a reawakening Something not heartbreaking Not earth shattering But rejuvenating? Would you taste like I remember? Like wood and spice and mint Or will it be different Will you be different? Strange how comforted I am by your presence I wanted you to kiss me I wanted you to make the tears Staining my face Disappear And replace my blood With the sweetest nectar To kiss me until I forget Every bad man who came before To kiss me until I'm clean. Until I'm pure. I wanted to tell you everything I wanted to be wrapped in you And get away as fast as I can I forgot the magnetic pull you have Where everyone wants to be near you Attracting while I repel But you pulled closer to me I fell You had that look in your eyes Playing at a smile How you looked like you could devour me In the most delicious way And how I would let you Has me running Away form you Right back into you Please lean in Please get away Please Lean in And meet my lips Once more Just so I can figure it out
