Tribute to the MartyrA Poem by Hope"She should thank me for the war that I endured. So he could become a better man... if he even can"
You should be thanking me
I should be showered in heaps in gardens of flowers The most magnificent violets, roses, lilies, and carnations you can find You should give me a goddamn parade for the hand I stayed on your social execution Because I haven't ruined the reputation of a Promising Young Man You should be groveling at my feet for my forgiveness For being the test subject to your awful sciences I was poked and prodded Dissected and dismissed Nothing but a sheet wrapped around me and your lying kiss As you left for the sure thing I split in two a cried It was only then you realized that a change should be made But not for me No A trade For her She should be on her knees before me Giving me blessings and praising me like a saint For without my passions and impressions on him He would have treated her exactly the same She should be saying prayers in my name For the shame I bore of being Overdramatic Desperate Easily lured She should thank me for the war I endured So he could become a Better Man ... If he even can You should be thanking me Or at a minimum Give me an apology
