A Cold-Bereavement

“Kaleb G. Berry”

"My legacy will contiune through the person who takes the same cold path as me."

Walking in this frozen wasteland, with my head to the cold ground, I can smell the white grass as the chill on winter inhales through my nose.

My skin is pale and my armor is hardened of frostbite.

The black of my chest plate and the sliver of my sword turn dull.

Everywhere I go the Xanthus creatures purse my heart that ablaze through the worst conditions.

They do not understand why I carry through or, why I fight.

Representing this name that I only salute to,

For humans, I rise against that defy me.

This is who I am, or am I still lost in the storm of this frozen hell.

Finding that answer only seems hard, but the task is more fearful than fearless.

Opening the door to my will, I shall not give in.

The advent hate smells my doubts, carrying on my blade of the shadows and sensing my own character is more dangerous than living.

May God help me, and forgive me for what I must do.

I must find this self desire and create another chapter in limitless time.

This is me.

Born from this frozen place,

Held in a cave of solitude and mercy,

Living up to what my heart tells me to do is a victory I may never accomplish

To say it is impossible it will be considered a false measurement.

This next step I take in this driven snow, might be a first step to reaching my heart,

Or might be my last,

Whatever the situation,

Until my demise,

I will continue to attack the people’s elements of surprise,

And by honor will mesmerize the thoughts of my heart that is slowly beginning to die.

When I do die, it will be of absolute greatness,

Greatness intangible of reaching heights impossible to see,

Just like the coldness of the starry slope this mountain is upon me.

No longer in hell, but in strife,

My whereabouts will walk around somewhere in this snow.

Someone will find me, someone will,

When they do, I will be waiting to guide them through.

This is almost purgatory! Excellent poem love, I love the style of writing here too, such an immense painful piece to dwell in and yet a piece that holds belief and conviction!
Excellent
