A few quick thoughtsA Poem by Brave New WorldA few quick thoughts written fast; typed before my lastWhat does it mean, a mistake or two? So long as it should separate me from you Signs and numbers mean nothing to me If I can’t live for a moment’s glee Surrender to the infinite line And, do please take what was mine You think it’s easy, but it’s not You trade your life, lot by lot There’s no such thing as a moment’s prime You live too long for what’s not divine I cry and scream for you to halt It’s all gone and it’s not my fault Word by word, it falls away Why won’t you give me the time of day? Call me crazy, call me sane Worth more than a day in the fast lane Ask not what I can do for you It’s already more than I can do © 2010 Brave New WorldAuthor's Note
