And Yet

And Yet

A Poem by Brave New World

When I look at you, every moment seems too few

Every second flies too fast, every minute’s not enough

From your eyes, to your face, lightness flows within

Ah, but then again…

No matter what I do, I can only face a blank wall

No matter where I glance, I only see signs of an eminent fall

No matter what I say, or what I do

Everything is always too much, too few

Ah, but then again…

The way you carry yourself is quite mesmerizing

Your smile is quite addicting

Talking to you is like conversing with the oracle divine

A pity you’ll never be mine

Ah, but then again…

Every time I feel you’re in my arms

Every time you just walk away

Every time leaving me asking me why I tried

Leaving everything I loved behind

Ah, but then again…

I wouldn’t be in this fight

If I couldn’t stand to be far from sight

Everyone just looks and knows

Your all I stand for, all I am

All I’ll fight for, all I care

I don’t think you’ll ever understand

Cuz loving you is so hard

But I’ll do it till the end

Brave New World
the rhyme scheme is kinda non-existent and grammer might be poor, but its love

The first line grabbed me... this line"No matter where I glance, I only see signs of an eminent fall" truly haunted me. This is the kind of poem that wants to be read aloud. Therefore, the grammar matters not a bit. And it is love. That is what matters. I loved this.
