And yet....

And yet....

A Poem by Brave New World

When you fall, I smile,

When you feel down, I feel up

Yet if you were to die,

I would be the first to cry;

How selfishly I love you so!

Ha, I never was the perfect lover

But I can’t stand this miserable lonely life you gave me

World so cold

Ice so bitter

Everything falling ever so slowly

I look left and right for someone to blame

But all I can see it is my own reflection

Stuck in a shadow that I can’t get out of

Alone I fight my own fight

Yet I fail so epically

Every joke shallow

Every laugh hollow

Nothing seems to matter

The world turned into nothing but an ocean of apathy

Not depression, not pain, not hate

But the worse of all

Nothing, nothing, nothing

I look and wait for you to fall

Just to join me in this shallow hell

You are a writer. I like the twist in your poem. The feel of hoping for disappointment and not death made me smile. I like the ending. To join you in the shallow of hell. You wrote a outstanding poem. Thank you.
