Far Side of the MoonA Poem by Brave New WorldOn the far side of the moon I wander Desolate, alone… all I have are the thoughts I ponder Crater here and crater hence With every step I take the air gets less dense I don’t care what happens now and then For Im alone in the very end On the far side of the moon I wander Lonely, depressed… all I have are the thoughts I ponder With each step I take, I move further from the light Toward an advancing shadow, to the endless night Among lovers, among couples, I walk alone Alone… on the far side of the moon With nothing beside me but a lonely sand dune I walk alone… by the craters of the moon Lonely lunar atmosphere Has claimed all I ever held dear Followed only by my footsteps Remind me only of a million missteps A world that has only threw me out It has left no room for doubt Beyond me no air flies Except that flowing from your lies Lost forever… nowhere to go Left alone…on the far side of the moon © 2010 Brave New WorldAuthor's Note
