Eclipsing ThoughtA Poem by K.C. ZbrykNew horizons hidden ahead of The passing of the setting sun
I chase them looking forward Following my light Not wanting it to fade But become more brilliant I have no time to pause For food or breath It is escaping Running away like water down a drain I chase in vain Ever peering into the depth The painful setting sun Determined to beat it to the horizon And as my eyes blister It disappears I wish someone had just told me Instead of racing for the horizon You should just turn around and wait 06/29/2012 0335 am © 2012 K.C.
