Sun and ShadowsA Poem by K.C. ZbrykContemplating what the right action for the right time. When to speak and when to be silent...And then he decided there was also a moment to be silent To stand back and observe There is no need to be vocal when the words won’t be heard And the silence may be even louder than the Things he was saying before There is no need to speak unless there is a need And if so he will speak Until then There is a moment When some must learn to walk And he must let them fall down This is learning This is a necessary process And that is what he must learn To be silent and not hinder the learning Of others With his noise This is the time to observe Introspectively and reverse To take in what must be seen and To remember what has happened Don’t let them wear you down Just let them do as they will And learn what they must Life moves in circles Into the sun and into the shadows I will see the horizon soon 04/28/2012 © 2012 K.C.
