Zbryk![]() for a frined![]() Outside the world is enormous Huge massively frightening Full of commotion People moving rushing Forcing their way To their separate destinations The noises sights and sounds Overwhelm all senses So we close the door To the voices To the words The eyes We lock them out In the name of peace of mind And in the dark behind the curtains We can finally hear Ourselves We can reflect On the past The pain Until All alone in the cave We hear the echo Our echo The thoughts reverberating Off the shadowed walls Inundating us in all the things That we wanted to reflect on In this strange conundrum We wanted to escape the commotion And in return We found ourselves trapped In our own turmoil As if our own reflection Was the one screaming at us In order to understand the past Did we remove the possibility Of a future Despite what the mirror May think We can find a way past the door Despite what the past may say We can overcome 04/22/2012 © 2012 K.C.
