Passive NihilistA Poem by K.C. ZbrykMired down with the thoughts Unhealthy actions Haunting reminding Yet somehow stopped, intervention seems Inescapable All these questions about morals Right wrong and what lies in between Some it seems have these preprogrammed Others have no set standards Or is it that no one has these set standards There is no established Human rights There is no defining set of ethics Are we all truly running Simply running Headlong through life Just trying to convince others That we are right All along the way I sincerely hope not I hope that there is someone better here than me Because this set of fluid morals Is beginning to throw me off balance And I may not know where I stand The funny thing is the decisions were all mine But I still simply stood by and acted We could all consider what we want more And what is best for us Often what is best Is not what we want Self destructive in nature we wander And I am just a card in a deck Shuffled tossed reshuffled And dealt into uncaring circumstances Sadly I may be the uncaring one Can someone be a passive nihilist? Or even a sporadic one?
