Silver Nights

Silver Nights

A Poem by Martin

For many silver nights,

Clouded, nearly full moons

I share the life

With a candle

By virtue of fire.

With lit minds and

Lit cigarettes,

Let us venture

Abide in unity

With flickering radiance.

Flame that would

Penetrate like flow

Of air with wind

Brings us to the sea

At dusk, beckons us

With it to swim

Linger a bit longer

In silence, in life then

By virtue of magick

Let me blow out your candle

And radiate your light.

A very nicely written poem, Martin. The use of flame and fire in poetry is very powerful, as is evident here.
Good job.

Really nice one. Lovely images and good pattern. The last line seems to be a perfect ending.
