Twinkle, twinkle little star

marred with scars of love and war

you shine when the world is sleeping tight

like a ray of hope guiding through the night

 

Twinkle, twinkle little star

witnessing my euphoria and despair

you are like an oasis in the barren sky

bravely, holding your ground up so high

 

Twinkle, twinkle little star

you blink and wink while I gaze

bring the new moon, spellbound in daze

I stoically wait, from afar

for you to soothingly touch my soul,

rejuvenate my body, make me whole

Oh, how many times have I had these feelings when looking at the stars. Quite an accurate usage of words you have there. I liked the image you used, and the rhyming in the poem allows it to have a perfect flow almost. Of course no one can miss that the first line in every stanza was taken from the song, which I'm sure gave you an inspiration.

Herein, My Dear, Your voice rings clear and sweet as a crystal bell, with sadness and the beauty of eventual everlasting happiness and peace, where there is no pain … up "there" through the starry portals to God's wondrous eternity, or this is how I perceive the essence flowing from your enthralling poetic voice.

Oh, what dreams we can dream upon a star, and it seems they've spoken back down to you, gifting your ink with their glowing stardust.

Like sweetest wine, your poetry becomes more amazing with each passing of time!
