I feel you

I feel you

A Poem by Jyoti_Ablaze

When the glistening sunlight showers its warmth

I feel you embracing me,

When I see a shooting star leaving its trail on the sky

I see you descending for me.

When the mighty stars’ light penetrates through the cloud

I feel you twinkling above,

When a fresh morning breeze teases me with its charm

I discern your good wishes for me.

When I pass a playground and hear a child’s laughter

Nostalgia of our time grips me,

When the magical droplets of rain shimmer and dance

I feel you smiling and blessing me!

It is said that death can only touch the body and not the soul.

So this piece is penned in the memories of my late father.
Miss you, Papa!

Even before I read your 'Author's note', I knew it was all about the gratitude and nostalgia. Little imagery lives up to the mighty feelings in this write

I can totally relate to it..the grief once that almost destroyed me as my father left, is now replaced with calmness of the mind on knowing that it was not the end..it was just a chain of even that will lead him to ensure a one step towards immortality..good piece

A lovely epitaph. Your heavenly connections were comforting. I know that death is unavoidable. Memories can come from and be pulled from so many places and given lovely form just as you have done here. Very moving! ....................Kathy
