So they say

So they say

A Poem by Jyoti_Ablaze

They say people change in years,
but you changed me in a day.
They say life is long and hard,
but in your arms I floated and swayed

They mentioned about the darkness

that exists in the alleyway,
but you illumined me from within.

They proclaimed the world to be ravening,
but you kept me safe in your warm cocoon.

They say the day can be harsh
and the sun can give you blisters,
but you wrapped me tenderly
like the moon in the soothing night.

They believe the barren lands can never yield
but you transformed my impotent heart
into a loving blossom!

this is a really sweet write----someone who has that capacity to make us feel really okay about ourselves, especially in the worst moments---
nicely expressed.

Thank you for the kind review.
It is amazing, a miracle, how one person can transform us. And this miracle of words that flow from you have the kindest dedication to a true friend and teacher and guide. Beautifully, wonderfully full of light!

Tks
Childhood crushes are really something :) the way he has transformed your life is evident through your tender words. The picture selected was quite apt, as well. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but the structure of your piece was very soothing to the eyes..no long, clunky paragraphs.
So..who is he? :) keep up the good writing!

Lovely. :) Well done Jyoti. I wonder if you could put in a few clues to enlighten the reader as to who you are writing about and bring even more life to the poem. :)
