So they say

They say people change in years,
but you changed me in a day.
They say life is long and hard,
but in your arms I floated and swayed

They mentioned about the darkness

that exists in the alleyway,
but you illumined me from within.

They proclaimed the world to be ravening,
but you kept me safe in your warm cocoon.

They say the day can be harsh
and the sun can give you blisters,
but you wrapped me tenderly
like the moon in the soothing night.

They believe the barren lands can never yield
but you transformed my impotent heart
into a loving blossom!

This is an amazing poem! I love how you took all the negative cliches people throw out and turned them into your own positive meaning. I love when people do that. It shows genuine optimism and heart. One day you will find an amazing guy or girl or person in general (if gender is unspecified), and they will be so lucky to have met you. ;)
