PART 1
"Why?? Why do I need to prove myself every time? I am fed up with this. Can't I live my life just my way, forgetting about
others.?" Navya thought, finishing her presentation.
.......Navya
is a sweet girl of 17 who studies in 12th. She doesn't
love studies anymore. She loved it until
she was 15, but a lot changed after she joined
this school. She is no more an introvert girl who is always busy with books. She has changed. now she loves to talk to people, to eat their tiffins, to even
fight with them. She loves this change,
as she learnt a lot during these two years. She learnt something, which books
could nor teach her until 10th. Now,
marks don't matter to her a lot. She
doesn't care if someone is laughing at
her. She is hardly influenced by the fact what others might think about her.
She is not the most intelligent in her studies, but she has learnt to be a free
soul, independent of everything.
Next day, she gave the presentation and she was
praised. The feeling of happiness filled her heart. But then teacher
distributed the answer sheets where she has not scored well. The teacher scolded all such students. "Is
my whole knowledge just measured by this piece of paper?" thought Navya when her thoughts were interrupted by her
friend- "Come, let's have lunch. Don't pay much attention."
"So, Navya you are going to finish your board exams
after 2 months. What are your plans
thereafter? Are you going to join a coaching institute or take admission in
college?" is the usual questions of
friends and relatives.
"I will think about it," she replies sadly. But she herself is
not sure about what she actually wants. All she wants
is not to move in a crowd, just for the sake of moving. But what will she do?
One day she kept her head in the
lap of her mother and said, "It is well heard that the question of every
answer lies within you, but why am I not able to search this answer for so
long? People say follow your heart, but nobody tells what to do if your heart
is not responding."
"You will definitely come to a conclusion. Just think where does your
interest lie?" asked her mother.
"I don't know
actually. I see my aunt enjoying her job as a government teacher, there are no timing problems. It's a stable job. On another hand, I find Doctors being more paid and
respected. But papa wants me to be an
engineer as Rita didi is also an
engineer." replied Navya
thoughtfully. There was one thing which
she didn't tell her mother-" I am fed up with
studies. I want to move away from these books"
And the days went on........
Under the stars, moving on her terrace,
she thinks of her future, "I just want that I enjoy whatever I do in my
life. I don't want to see myself as richest and the poorest person
simultaneously. Richest in terms of money and poorest in terms of 'IDENTITY'. Should I go
for MBBS or IIT? Of course, I know every
field ahead demands hard work and time,
but in all that stuff, I don't want to lose
myself. What should I actually opt for?" and all these created
a mess in her head. Now she is feeling
sleepy. She went to her bed and had a dream.
She is
living in a magical world where she is free to do what she wants. Her parents
are not worried about her future, as money does not exist in that world. Then
how do they buy what they need? It's through happiness.
Yeah.. in that world, one thing you do to make
someone's or even your's soul happy, you will get a point which you have
to use to buy something. But you can not store that for more than one day.No
parents force their kids to go to school.
There are different centers for
education, games, entertainment, food. Everyone is free to choose the section
they want, right from childhood.
Navya is unwilling to do her homework, so went with her friends for a
movie. But hardly matters, because the teacher
did not scold anyone. She gets failed in
exams, but now she is much happier, as she has all the time to join a dance class. There
is no rich or poor in terms of money. No one is busy making career or money,
everyone is busy in making happiness. Happiness,
not just for others, but for
themselves too, by not torturing and bounding themselves to a certain task. All
are happy, as they are relieved from
doing what they actually don't want to do.
Making money, big house, respected
position, status in society ..... sometimes all these costs us a treasurable amount- Identity!!!
PART 2
"Navya, get up, you are getting
late for school"
She peeped out of her sleepy eyes. And she had to come back
from her dreams. To the REAL WORLD.....where,
it is not always possible to do what you want, because that might be quite
impractical.
"Oh no!! I am late. Mom, why did you not wake me up a
little early? You know, today is file submission day."
..........(in the class) Navya got highest marks for
submitting her complete file on time.
"Navya, you have written so well. Also, the research work done is really
appreciable. You will be a researcher one day" teacher praised her.
"Research, and me....what a joke", laughed Navya to her friend. "I have
seen Amayara di who lives in the neighborhood.
She is sad every time. Earlier she used
to be happy." I can't turn my life into hell. I want to stay happy."
"But what are you going to do to keep yourself joyful
for the whole of your life??" asked
her friend while walking to bus stop.
Navya stops for a while and recalls her dream, so
beautiful it was. It was just like a tale..no worries, no competition, no money, nothing... much like our childhood. Full
freedom. But that was just a dream. Is it possible in reality?
"Ok, see you
tomorrow", she waived her hands off.
her thoughts continued.....I can't stick myself to this point only. I
have to exist in this real world, where dreams have to be followed. But why do I sometimes get fed up with all this study, and then
next moment I start thinking of working
hard for exams. What is all this mess? This
mind is so complex, its so hard to understand what we truly want. Whenever I
think so much, my head starts aching.
"Will you please hold these files for a while?"
asked a girl of about 26 who was accompanied by her friend, and a whole lot of files.
"Yeah sure" Navya replied
while taking her files. Her thoughts were
interrupted.
"Ph.D.
Thesis" were the words printed on the file cover. Navya looked at the file
curiously.
And that girl, she was looking so happy. They both were
constantly talking about their
experience, their work. They were unlike
Amayara di in her neighbor. After a
while, they took their files and got down of the bus.
Navya was surprised, her eyes were following them. She found
her answer...
There is no career, no job which guarantees full life time happiness,
or which is free from all the troubles. Every field has its own plus and minus.
It is the human, which makes his life
happy or sad by his own choices...
"Ok I decide,
whatever I do in my career, I will always
find time for dance", she smiled.
it is possible to turn life to happier one, by being sincere,
in whatever we do. This was
something she has heard several times, but she completely understood it
now. Everything became crystal clear in
her eyes. She could see all those moments when she used to feel irritated. That
was because she had not completed her file on time and had to sit down to write
files continuously at the last moment.
She was smiling. But suddenly a thought came that it was not
always her fault, sometimes it's like the
universe is working against her and she is not able to do what she truly
wants."What could be the reason for this??"
IF ALL ANSWERS WILL UNFOLD BEFORE US, THEN WHAT WOULD BE
THERE IN LIFE TO THINK? IF EVERY MOMENT
WILL BE A HAPPY ONE, HAPPINESS WILL BE OF
LESS VALUE.
Then what is the formula, what is the job, which can settle
down our life?
IT HAS NEVER BEEN FORMULATED. Because life is settled, only
when it ends. Then only ends up all the troubles and struggles. And that's the
beauty, that's the reality of the world.
Till the end, we can just try to make it a little easy by keeping HOPE- Hold
On..Pain Ends. And no doubt, despite all its imperfections. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL
