I woke up early and put my headphones in
I don’t want to wake you
Music just makes me smile
I hear you stir behind me and I turn to look
Sometimes your early morning beauty just stuns me
I pop my headphones out and lay back in bed
Realizing just how lucky I am.
Together we hear it, the water trembling on the dresser
Her tiny feet hit the floor running as she charges through the door
She finds the space between and wiggles her way in
As we lay laughing, I take a mental photo
Something to get through my dark days
