My Reason

My Reason

A Poem by Jvonne

When will I begin to learn?

When will it be my turn?

Still running to you even though you’re not really there,

Still searching for your love even though you don’t really care….

Sometimes I think it’s best if I’m left in the dark

The roads become too long, on my journey I can’t embark

It’s like every time you’re not there he breaks my heart

He’d build me up and tear me apart

I swore not to love his beautiful blue eyes

I swore not to wait for his unexpected goodbyes

He had me flying, now I’ve fallen face down

Lost and alone in this god forsaken  town

Still looking for someone who used to be me

But I can hardly breath and I can hardly see.

When will I begin to learn?

When will it be my turn?

Still running to you even though you’re not really there

Still searching for your love even though you don’t really care

But I hardly breathe and I can hardly see….

A reason to keep on being strong

A reason I’ve searched for, for so long….

It wasn’t him it was you……..

Lyrical and filled with emotion; consequentially expressive of the confusion given by unrequited love...

Nicely done...!
