It was a normal day in my life, though normal isn’t the right kind of word, but it should suffice. I walked out to my mother in a furious mood, my step father gone to work, so I would like to believe. And my brother looking quite sad. I sat down for breakfest, pouring my cereal slowly, glancing around. Sharp eyes met mine, I knew my mother was in the mood to get the angry off her chest. I looked away quickly, and stood up. I headed towards the door. “I’m going to Nan’s.” I murmured, and opened the door and left in one swift mood. My mother muttered something, but I couldn’t make it out. I took two stairs at a time while I ran up to my Nan’s house. We lived in a small apartment, my family all around. I guess it was good in some ways. I glanced at my watch on my wrist... 8:29am, oh glorious. My cousin Veronica was a groutch, I would have to listen to her mouth for me coming up so early in the morning. I was dressed in my bikini, ready to swim with my other cousin, Airren. To my luck, Airren was wide awake and ready to go swimming with me. Unfortuantly, the pool hadn’t open for another 3 and half hours. “Blaise, you’re up here early. Pool doesn’t open for another three hours, what do you plan on doing?” She whispered to me, as I stared at her blankly. Suddenly, my stomach roared, and Airren giggled. “I guess we could eat.” I replied sheepishly. I pranced to the kitchen quietly, hoping Veronica wouldn’t awake, finding myself some toaster studdles. “No, Airren, I put them in the microwave.” I put a devilish grin on, as she looked at me dumbfounded. We sat there eating toasters struddles. “Wow, you’re right, Blaise. The microwave is better!” She basically shouted, and I stiffend. That’s when our eyes both popped wide, and our ears reached out to listen. Something was coming this way, and I had one bet. Veronica. “What. Are. You. DOING!?” She screetched. “I..I” My words weren’t coming out, and Airren was so still with her mouth full. “You woke me up, you... you. UGH!” She roared, and I cringed. “I’m going on the computer, and if you think for one moment I will take a break, you better think again Blaise!” She screamed. “Veronica, really.” I said, my eyes still wide. She glared at me with fierce eyes before I turned away. I couldn’t bear her hatred. Veronica headed the bathroom. Everything was silent... too silent. Suddenly, Airren erupted in laughter. I joined it, sounding like music.I glanced at the watch. 9:01am. “Airren, it’s still so early.” I complained. She managed to stop laughing enough to answer me. “Let’s go outside, or something. It’s a nice morning.” She smiled lightly. I was up for that, specially since Veronica would be coming out any minute. I shook my head in agreement quickly, and we both dashed for the door. Since the summer was so beautiful, we always walked in our bikini’s and bear-footed. So that’s exactly what we did. “Let’s go to the berry tree,” Airren had suggested. “Their so good around this time.” She bounced. I had a feeling for something else, and I don’t know what it is. I turned to her, “I... Well, I think we should explore.” I beamed. She stared at me for a moment, and smiled a wide, wonderful smile. “Blaise, that’s a great idea! I’m so bored, let’s go.” Airren towed me toward the forest. I’ve never seen in the forest before, so I guess this would count as exploring. “No one has ever been in these woods,” Airren started to say. “They say it’s haunted, or something. Horrible noises come from there, sounds like battles or something.” She smiled an evil coy smile. I giggled. “Right.” I muttered. I stared at the forest. It looked endless, and beautiful. Who would “battle” here? I thought lightly to myself. No, no, I would be a fool to think there was. But.. something, some voice, in the back of my head kept telling me. Danger. I repressed the thought. “Let’s go.” I stared fiercly. “Whatever is over there, I’m ready.” I stated. Airren stared at me for a moment, and nodded. “Let’s do it.” I grinned, as she did the same.

“Where are we?” I asked, glancing at my clock. 8:09pm. We were in the forest for so long, but we were lost. Airren kicked a stone into the river we found. “I don’t know, Blaise, but I’m so hungry. We’re lost, what do we do? No one can hear us, no one knows where we are...!” “Airren, Airren.” I tried to soothe her. “It’s okay, Airren, we’ll get home. I’m so sorry.” I murmured. I curled myself into a ball. She looked at me angry for a moment, then softened up. “No, Blaise, this was my fault. You wanted to explore, but I chose the forest.” She said. “But who knew it would be endless.” I disgreed. Actually, I did. Hours in this forest, and all we did was fall, cry, laugh, have fun, get scared, and get hungry. A disaster. “What if we never find home?” I asked, almost inaudible. “Oh, B, shut up.” Airren countered. We sat in silence. “Well, someone will have to look for us.” I said finally. That’s when something rustled in the bush. “What was that?” I asked, tensed. Airren looked startled. We sat so still. Something was coming, or someone. But what? But who? “Blaise” Airren chocked. I stared wide-eyed. A man with the greenest of eyes, stepped out of the bush. His hair, ash blond. He was so... perfect. He had muscle, but it wasn’t over done and not too little. His jaw line was smooth, and his hair a mess but in such a wonderful way. His lips pink, and full. His eyes landed in mine, and I was lost. “Ladies.” He smiled. It knocked the breath out of me. “Wh...Who are you?” I managed to spit out. His perfect smile twisted into a bigger one. “Is that really important?” He asked playfully. “I think it is.” Airren cut in, and she looked mean. His eyes flashed to hers and slightly narrowed. “Well, if you really want... You can call me Trey.” He said, smoothing his face out into an unreadible expression. He still looked slightly amused. This time, I cut in. “Hello Trey.” His eyes on me again. “I just have some questions... Who are you? Where are you from? And I’ve never seen you before...” He took a step forward. Airren backed away, I stood up. She looked at me with some sort of fear in her. I don’t know what it was, but I was fearless at the moment. “Well,” He said. “I’m lost for one, I’m visiting a friends and his new cat come into this forest. I ran after it, but I ended up here.” He frowned. And I didn’t believe his story for one minute, but all I said was, “Oh.” He smiled again. “Great.” Airren said suddenly, Trey and I’s eyes unlocking. “We’re stuck in some forest, with some guy, who knows... he could have burried his whole family out here.” He looked at her bewildered. Crazy as I was, I took another step forward, oh, but I didn’t look gracful. As usualy, I triped over some sort of vine, just when I thought I was about to fall into the river, someone caught me. Trey swung me around, and I stared into his eyes. Funny, I could have swore for a moment, his face looked so... pained. Like this guy really cared if I fell in. Airren coughed. Our eyes darted to her, and I blushed. He let me go softly. “Oops.” I murmured. He threw his head back, and laughed lightly. “You should watch your feet... Uhh...” I understood he wanted my name. “Blaise.” I said strong, and sturdy-like. He grinned. “Blaise. That’s a nice name, I’ve never herd it.” I smiled a half smile. “Thanks. And that’s Airren.” I pointed to her direction. Nothing. “A..Airren.” I asked, anxious now. Trey’s jaw dropped. “Trey! Trey, where did she go!?” I started running in her direction, my heart pounding. “AIRREN!” I shouted again. “Airren!” I herd Trey’s musical voice call for my cousin. Nothing. She’s gone. I fell to the floor and started to cry. A high-pitch scream came from no where, and I went hystaric. Trey’s arms were around me. “Blaise? Blaise!? We’ll find her, I promise, we’ll find her.” His voice was in some sort of panic, yet so strong. An act? I suddenly stopped crying, my tears ran dry, and I wiped them away. “I don’t know you...” I started. “But I’m putting all my trust into right now. We have to find Airren, and we have to get out of this place.” My voice was strong and fierce. He looked into my eyes searching, and I guess he found something. He nodded in agreement, and said, “Blaise. I promise you we will find Airren. We will find our way out, we’ll be okay. I nodded. We both got up, and took deep breaths. “Okay.” He said. “Alright.” I said. We started walking to who knows where.
