Hidden Strength

Hidden Strength

A Poem by Justine

She has an inner strength

No one sees.

You think you know her.

Think you know her past.

You haven’t a clue

As to the hell she’s walked through,

The worry and instability

She’s had with each step  taken.

She’s strong on the inside,

But her longing,

Her needing shows on the outside

Appearing weak,

Her strength stays hidden.

Walking through an unstable hell

She wonders if she’ll survive

Long enough to reach the end,

Long enough to have  what she can only dream of,

A life that’s simple and sweet.
