Drained

Drained

A Poem by Justine

I am drained to my last drop

I don’t have any more emotion to give.

No smiles, no tears

I’m just here,

Floating in an in between,

Wanting to be held.

I Pull away to protect myself,

But secretly wish to be pulled close

Never to be let go.

Completely alone,

Yet surrounded by people.

My heart is too heavy to bear alone,

But I have no choice

There is no one else to help me bear it.

So here I am too drained to think,

Too drained

To cry,

Too drained

To scream, or sleep

Almost to drained to breathe.

I am drained and alone

Floating in an in between.
