Lil' Ramblings

 

I can go on for hours

slipping almost seamlessly

from one topic to the next.

You smile and nod, listening

Adding your thoughts when I pause to breathe.

 

You watch my face change with each story and thought.

Goofy smiles

a twinkle in my eyes as I ramble on.

Chuckling quietly,

amazed I haven’t yet passed out.

 

Never annoyed or bothered,

only too happy to listen.

Knowing that when I wear myself out it’s your turn.

Till then you listen with a smile at my lil ramblings.
