The Other MeA Poem by Justine
I turn out the light So I don’t see my reflection. In my head I see myself, Much more beautiful than what the mirror shows. She is who I want to be. Who I am on the inside. Her dark brown wave of curls Just below her shoulder blades, Strands of curls framing her vivid hazel eyes And soft features. She is me. But I am not her. I don’t know if I ever will be. For now I will feel her beauty from the inside, Maybe one day she’ll stop hiding and come out © 2008 JustineReviews
